Cobra Coins began in 1960 by a man with a vision….
Not really – but that’s how most About pages start! Cobra Coins is the partnership amongst business professionals, industry experts, and of course: our really cool logo. Seriously – look at it! Those are snake fangs! How awesome is that!?
To really know about us, our owner discusses our beginning: “In all transparency, I started Cobra Coins after surviving Stage 2 cancer. After being diagnosed, I spent 45 minutes having a pity party in my car. I reflected upon my short life and regretted everything I didn’t do. Starting a business was one of those dreams. If I survived, I vowed to never have a single regret. Today, with God’s permission, doctor’s advice, countless prayers, and many rounds of chemo: I am healed. I didn’t waste my second chance at life and with that: Cobra Coins began. Our first sale was 1,000 coins to the Dallas Police Department. I’ll never forget running around the house celebrating. I still feel the same way after so many years. Since 2009, we’ve created tens of thousands of challenge coins for every branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, police officers, paramedics, and numerous corporations around the world. Our custom coins can include your logo and message on nearly any coin design. Wait – what do we mean by “nearly any coin design”? If your logo/design has a gradient (when one color changes/blends into one or more colors), it’s nearly impossible to create it using enamel colors. However, it can be created as an Offset Printed design. We promise they are super easy to design, lol. Your logo will look exactly as it appears in our free, digital Proof.
All our coins are minted in new, solid metal using pistons, hydraulics, and tons of pressure. We also offer lighter, metal alloy coins which are cost effective without sacrificing design quality.
